Straight from the Heart

 Please join the Spotlight616 team, the Matthew Agency, and the B.O.B. for a night of indulgence to support the Go Red for Women campaign for the American Heart Association.

Hosted by WOOD TV8 and eightWest's Rachael Ruiz, along with local models Natasha Ohlman and Laurie Schaal.

Guests in attendance will have the option to be pampered with hair, makeup, and nail services provided by Design 1 Salon for $10-15 (depending on the treatment). A very special "Red Lip Counter" will be set-up by Design 1 makeup and color experts to help guests find their perfect shade of red. Gift cards and products will be available for purchase. Professional photographers will be on site to take post makeover portraits of guests if they so choose; a donation is suggested. All proceeds from the photography and Design 1 Salon services will go directly to the American Heart Association who will be on hand to offer heart-healthy lifestyle advice and recipe books. 

Throughout the evening local area retailers JB and Me, Lee & Birch, Bohemia Too, and Julie Regan from Stella & Dot will be demonstrating their fashionable accessories on live models which will also be available for purchase at the event.

In addition, red wine & Cosmo sampling, delectable chocolates from Vita Dolce, treats from Sweet Cakes Design, and yummy kettle corn from Dorothy and Toto’s will please the palate. And for the flower lovers, guests can visit the Modern Day Floral table where they'll be able to take home a fresh bouquet, just in time for Valentine's Day.

One of Spotlight616's most emphatic goals is to bring into focus local retailers. In an effort to do so for this event, here is a bit of information on the participating retailers for the evening: 

Maribeth VanZalen and Jamie Grasman, a mother and daughter team, turned their family relationship into a retail business. The innate sense of style both women share evolved into a successful fashion dynamic. In March of 1997, jb and me opened a 1400 sq ft space in downtown Holland.
